Online Schooling out of UK

I've been taking online courses as part of my homeschooling, and they have pros and cons. I used to take Geography, and now just English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology online.

Pros-
Flexible and convenient- I can have my classes anytime, as long as I have my computer, WiFi connection, my textbook and notebook. So if I'm overseas (haven't tried that yet), I can still probably have my lessons, or if I'm at a friend's place (happens too often) and I don't want to rush back, I can just have lesson at their place.

A very long quote by Bob Marley

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”

New Dawn project- 1st meeting

This year's FD (future division) theme would be "Be the Light of the New Dawn". The committee for my RHQ had launched a May/June project called New Dawn.
(By the way that's what I would call it until I hear some other name that it's been called. New Dawn sounds really nice though, it's also the name of our new FD Theme Song.
Objectives:
1) Deepen the student's understanding of Buddhism
2) Strengthen student's faith in practice.

10 Different Kinds Of Friends

From http://thoughtcatalog.com/nancy-bonds/2014/01/the-10-different-kinds-of-friends-we-have/, this one actually makes sense and I can relate to it.
-----------
We all have friends. Often times, we have friends that join us at different parts in our lives. We have best friends that stick with us forever, but more often than not they all serve different purposes. At the end of the day, we may not need friendship to live, but we require friendship to thrive. Much like C.S. Lewis once said, “friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art… It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival,” friends give us meaning in our lives—no matter what role they play.

1. The Intellectual
He or she presses you to think about the world around you. Intellectuals pose thought-provoking questions about work, life, children, education, love, and how all of those things work together. You think about who you are and what you represent when you’re around them. They motivate you to study, read, and be original.

2. The Fun One
The fun friend often gets a bad rap as an enabler. They bring out the little kid in you, and never fail to make you smile. Probably one of your wilder friends, they love to go out on the town and always want to bring you with them. They want you to relax, have a good time, and forget about the stress in your life.

3. The “Mom”
This friend is your role model. She is mostly overprotective, but its only because she really cares about you. She is the one you text when you’re having a bad day. She can tell you need a hug without you uttering a word. She forces you to think through all your decisions, and she always knows best (but let’s be honest, you don’t always listen). She’s loving, critical, and compassionate, and will always be there for you no matter what.

4. The “Dad”
This friend is protective, blunt, and hard working. He is stubborn, but supportive. These friends strive to teach you lessons, but also want you to have fun. They may not always understand you or seem like they’re on your side, but they defend you more than anyone else. They are often your biggest advocate and biggest critic, but just remember, it’s because they want to see you succeed.

5. The “Older Brother”
This person knows you as well as anyone, but they’re quiet about it. Like moms, older brothers are overprotective, but in a very silent way. Instead of telling you what to do, they help you find the answer within yourself. They will make sure your significant others take care of you and make you happy. They take you to lunch when you need a break, they tell you when you’re being dumb, and they remind you who you are.

6. The “Younger Sister”
You love this friend more than anything. They’re one of your closest friends, and you tend to protect them as if they were actually related to you. Younger sisters bring perspective to life — they keep your grounded and remind you how lucky you are to have people that care about you. They ask for your advice, but at the end of the day you tend to think that you learn more about yourself from them than they do from you.

7. The Talker
Often, the talker tends to add a little spice to your life. They bring drama, but they keep you on your toes. You value you the dynamic they add to your friendships, and they never fail to keep things interesting. Talkers force you to think about their motivations, and really adapt your perspective. Sometimes they’ll challenge you, but at the end of the day they will add something intangible to your life that would seem empty without them.

8. The Listener
The listener is your sounding board. They know your motivation, your goals, and your life. Listeners are selfless, compassionate, and caring. You text them at 4am when you don’t know what to do, you have three hour conversations instead of going to sleep, and they will help you find the answers you are always looking for.

9. The Inspiration
The inspiration never seems to play by the rules. He or she will break the mold, but will always be the friend that will really make a difference in the world. The inspiration motivates you to be yourself, work hard, and be selfless. They work for non-profits, they speak loudly for their causes (with words or actions), and they teach you about the world around you in ways you could never imagine.

10. The Storyteller
Storytellers own the dinner table. They turn the most mundane experiences into a theatrical production, and they never fail to make you smile. They love to make people laugh, to watch Saturday Night Live and to live in the spotlight. They often make your abs hurt, use adjectives you only read in Charlotte Bronte novels, and have the best Facebook posts. Storytellers remind you of your past, and make you excited for the future.

Short summary of myself

I am myself. Myself is me. Me is a blogger. A blogger is someone who writes about their thoughts or whatever in their blog. (I'm not sure if it's the correct definition, if you want one just google it yourself.)

Hello

You've probably come here because, well, you're curious of what I write about. Well I had another blog, but after an unfortunate incident last week, I decided to start life afresh and create a new blog. Of course, the world would be chaotic if one could just click the 'New Life' or 'Restart your life' button every time something unfortunate happened. On the other hand, it may be benefitting for one, who, for example, lost one's eyesight at a very young age.

Back to the topic. Now you may be asking, what is the unfortunate incident about? You see, I visited my blog last week, only to find most of my posts from the year of 2013 has disappeared! Of course, I was tremendously grieved, and I mourned for the loss of my posts. At least I had decided to start a diary last year, and it was like, the width of your biggest toe. Unless you are a 3/4/5/6/7 year old reader (I am honoured if you are), you would imagine that my diary is probably quite thick. Which it is, stored with my memories, frustration, happiness, boredom, doodles, and awful (and rarely, neat) handwriting.

Now, I must assure you that I do not usually press the 'new blog' button often, this is the second 'Life' blog that I have created. Creating a new blog is like starting at a secondary school after being in primary school for 6 years. Followers/readers are like your fellow classmates and friends. When you start a new blog (school), some followers/readers (friends/classmates) will join you at your new blog (school). Are you confused? No? Good. Because if you are, I can't help you.

NO, THIS BLOG IS NOT RELATED, WILL NOT MENTION AND DOES NOT FEATURE CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS. Fans of that comic character can visit my friend (not mentioning, related or featuring Captain U either), comicalien.

Follow, comment and hope you come back soon.
