Reasons to Smile

I started this on 2 October 2015.

"When life gives you 100 reasons to cry, show life you have 1000 reasons to smile."

WHY
Everyone deserves happiness. Happiness starts with the smallest things. By blogging about things that made you happy, you'll create a collection of pleasant memories that will undoubtedly bring you up when you need it the most. Think of it like a piggy bank-each reason is a 10 cent coin. One coin itself may not mean much, but if you deposit a coin every day, when you find yourself in a situation where you really need it, you have it.

OKAY, LET'S DO THIS!

Rules:

1. Find something that made you smile that day, and blog it with the label Reasons to Smile

It can be anything that makes the sides of your mouth turn up:
☻a short post about what happened,
☻ a short sentence that cheered you up/made you smile/laugh,
 ☻a youtube video/video/movie that made you smile/laugh,
☻ a song that cheered you up,
 ☻ a paragraph/sentence from a book,
☻ a joke or a horrible pun someone told,
☻ the video/commentary of a goal by your favourite sports (football) team,
 ☻ something else which I haven't listed.

Even if nothing good happened to you today, look for happiness. There's the internet, watch funny videos, listen to songs that cheer you up.

And even if you didn't have access to the computer that day/couple of days, you can still jot the reason to smile down, and later post it with the date stamp of the day it happened.

2. Comment if you're participating and add the button to your blog/category of your post!
Code below:

<div class="YOUR-BLOG-NAME-button" style="width: 150px; margin: 0 auto;"> <a href="http://myhopefulpencil.blogspot.my/p/reasons-to-smile.html" rel="nofollow"> <img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-A2YK2C2b-oc/VrMBYUX6z3I/AAAAAAAAAEg/20Zp-mncpo4/s2048-Ic42/reasons%252520to%252520smile%252520default.png" alt="My</div&g

  1. This is such a brilliant idea

It can be so easy to get caught up in the negatives of every day life, so I deem it almost essential to focus on the good things; no matter how 'little' or insignificant they might seem!

  2. Ahhh...! This (as the previous commentator said) is a brilliant idea! I'd love to participate once I get into the swing of my own blog (still having nervous jitters on actually starting a blog...)

By the way, love your design. It's minimalist and so pretty.

  4. Great idea! Trying to think up the little things even when your day wasn't that great will brighten up your day for sure. Maybe even remind others what makes them happy! If it's not too much to ask, could you make a button that says, "Heels and Appeals?" thanks!

    1. Sure, Meghan! I'm really happy you like the idea. Except I've got quite a bit of stuff on my schedule at the moment, but I'll put it on my blog's to-do list and comment on your blog when I'm done with it, is that ok?
